About Tanjung Aru Eco Development
Established in 2003, the Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) is a brainchild of the Sabah State Government that is aimed at tackling two critical issues at once:
The conservation of Tanjung Aru Beach -- an icon of Sabah’s beauty, which is renowned for its legendary breathtaking sunset -- yet is slowly deteriorating due to pollution and erosion.
Creating a sustainable economic generator that will attract foreign investment and provide employment opportunities for the future generation.
At its core, TAED is sustainability and economy-focused with its best interest for the people of Sabah. The TAED project’s ultimate aim is to preserve Tanjung Aru Beach’s legacy for the future generation while creating in it an engine for economic growth.
