- To preserve Tanjung Aru Beach and Prince Phillip Park as an iconic spot to enjoy.
- To provide a recreational area and public spaces where people can gather, relax and celebrate the beauty of nature.
- To create sustainable tourism product offerings that will attract revenue for Sabah.
- To develop a vibrant commercial offering that allows local enterprises to thrive.
- To boost Kota Kinabalu City’s status as one of the most livable cities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
